Invitation to the awards ceremony and launch by the anthology "Digital Life – New words about gaming"

Fritt Ord invites the public to the launch of the computer game anthology “Digital Life – New words about gaming” and to the awards ceremony on Thursday, 1 September, at 8 p.m. at the Norwegian Museum of Science, Technology, Industry and Medicine.
In autumn 2015, Fritt Ord invited the public to an essay contest about gaming as a phenomenon, culture and social criticism.Of 180 entries, there will be 10 finalists. These will be made public on digitaleliv.no, one each day, from 23 August to 1 September.
The launch of the anthology and the announcement of the winner of the writing competition will take place on Thursday, 1 September at the Norwegian Museum of Science, Technology, Industry and Medicine . The event will begin at 8 p.m. in the Amphi, and it is just one of many exciting items on the programme for the LATE Independent Games Festival. There will also be music, lectures, a quiz and a tournament. Tickets can be purchased at the door: Ordinary ticket: NOK 150, student: NOK 100.
The awards ceremony consists of gaming and contemporary music from Alpaca Ensemble, and the awarding of diplomas and flowers to the writers. The best text will win NOK 25 000, while the nine others will win NOK 5 000 each.
7 p.m. The doors open at the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology for the “LATE Independent Games Festival”
8 p.m. Launch event for Digital Life in the Amphi
