Conversation between Elena Milashina and Erika Fatland, hosted by Fritt Ord and Human International Documentary Film Festival.

Elena Milashina works for Novaya Gazeta in Russia and is the journalist who first broke the story about the waves of arrest, torture and murder of gay people in Chechnya that started in 2017.

Erika Fatland is a Norwegian writer and social anthropologist. Her work includes several books about culture and society in Russia and neighbouring regions.
