Financial consultancy services - invitation to tender

September 28 2018

The Fritt Ord Foundation invites independent consultancy and investment companies to submit tenders for financial consultancy and related services for a three- to five-year period from 1 July 2019.

Fritt Ord is organised as a foundation, established in 1974 for the purpose of protecting and promoting freedom of expression, and thereby helping to strengthen democratic social development in Norway and enriching Norwegian culture. This is done by supporting projects and awarding prizes for efforts made to achieve the Foundation’s objectives. The Foundation’s capital currently consists of roughly NOK 3.3 billion. Each year, MNOK 90-100 are awarded to 1000-1200 projects in response to applications for funding. In addition, the Foundation initiates and is engaged in a number of its own initiatives and activities.

Emphasis will be attached to independence in the relationships with managers of the securities fund, central organisers of financial instruments and issuers of financial instruments. Banks and fund managers are not allowed to tender bids. Financial statements and directors’ reports for recent years are available on the Foundation’s website.

The deadline for submitting tenders is 1 p.m. on Friday, 28 September. For more information, please contact Executive Director Knut Olav Åmås by email: knut.olav.amas@frittord.no
