A city divided?
social media, conversations and debates? Is there anything to our prejudices? Are we more alike than we think, or are there actually big differences?
If Oslo is a city divided, does it actually matter?
Many young people of today have a clear affiliation with urban district they come from. Others could care less about being categorised. Regardless, the way in which we label each other has consequences.
Fritt Ord and Si; D welcome the public to a debate entitled “A city divided?”, on Wednesday, 26 April, at Fritt Ord’s premises at Uranienborgveien 2. The doors will open at 5 p.m. Pizza will be served and assignments will be handed out. The debate will start at 6.00 p.m.
The panel will consist of:

In addition, we will be joined by improvisers Mikkel Niva and Andreas Tønnesland from The other theatre, who will be our guides for the evening. Expect play with prejudices, myth busting and a feverish temperature.

5.00-6.00 p.m.: Food and mingling
6.00-6.15 p.m.: Warm up!
6.15-7.15 p.m.: Debate:
- Uniformity – appearance, style of dress, fashion, peer pressure
- Freedom and transparency – about religion, sexual orientation, sex, substance abuse, the use of social media
- Education and activism – attrition from upper secondary school, courses of study, expectations, prospects for the future
