With the project Digital Life, the Fritt Ord Foundation has invited the public to a debate on the place of computer games in culture and society. In addition to a series of events in the winter 2015/2016, the project includes of an essay competition with a deadline for entries on Friday, 15 April.
Computer games are widely varied cultural expressions that thematise everything from political ideology to the meaning of life. However, in the major debates taking place about computer games, where is the Norwegian public? What is the status of Norwegian gaming journalism?
BRITDOC, supported by the Fritt Ord Foundation and other Nordic partners, brought Good Pitch Europe to Oslo on March 25th 2015. In May 2016 Good Pitch Europe is coming to Stockholm, Sweden. Call for Entries is now open.
