The Dane, the Swede and the Norwegian - three lectures on public discourse in Scandinavia
The Fritt Ord Foundation invites the public to three lectures on public information in Scandinavia. The lectures will be delivered in the month of November at Uranienborgveien 2, Oslo.

Enemy Kitchen, performance lunch in collaboration with Henie Onstad Kunstsenter
The seminar Looters, Smugglers and Collectors: Provenance Research and the Art Market will be held on 29 and 30 October in connection with the exhibition In Search of Matisse at the Henie Onstad Art Centre. The exhibition brings to the fore the plundering of cultural heritages and works of art.

But censorship was not dead… Seminar for teachers, 13 October
The Fritt Ord Foundation and the National Association for Norwegian Teaching (LNU) welcome participants to a seminar on censorship and text generation in the classroom on Tuesday, 13 October, from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., at Fritt Ord’s premises at Uranienborgveien 2 in Oslo. There will be lectures and time will be set aside for discussions and group work.

Fritt Ord and Norwegian Journal of Photography (NJP) invite the public to the seminar Photographs Lie, Photographers Don’t, with Donald Weber. The seminar will take place on Friday 9 October 2015 at 5 p.m. (from 5.00–6.30 p.m.) at the Fritt Ord Foundation, Uranienborgveien 2, Oslo.

Flemming Rose and Vebjørn Selbekk honoured with the Freedom of Expression Foundation Tribute
On Tuesday, 22 September, Flemming Rose and Vebjørn Selbekk were awarded the Freedom of Expression Foundation Tribute. The two newspaper editors were honoured for their firm defence of freedom of expression throughout 10 years of caricature controversy.

Norwegian journalist to Oxford: The Preben Munthe Fellowship
The Fritt Ord Foundation sponsors half a year of study and research in Oxford for a Norwegian journalist. The fellowship will be given to a journalist ordinarily resident in Norway. The fellow will spend six months at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at Oxford University, commencing January 2016.

In Memoriam – Francis Sejersted
Francis Sejersted, former chair of the Fritt Ord Foundation’s Board of Trustees, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, 25 August. Sejersted chaired the Board of the Fritt Ord Foundation from 2000 to 2011.
