Programme: ALL THAT IS BANNED IS DESIRED
Welcome to the first world conference on artistic freedom of expression, ALL THAT IS BANNED IS DESIRED. Over the two days of the conference, more than 50 artists and individuals involved in the arts will address vital and complex issues concerning artists’ freedom of expression.
Artists will share both their experiences of censorship and the many strategies developed to claim, defend and advance their freedoms as well as the freedoms of other artists and those who wish to experience the art they create.
This conference is the beginning of a concerted effort to enhance the monitoring of and defense against violations of artists’ freedom of expression worldwide.
