Good Pitch Europe returns to the Nordic countries

BRITDOC, supported by the Fritt Ord Foundation and other Nordic partners, brought Good Pitch Europe to Oslo on March 25th 2015. In May 2016 Good Pitch Europe is coming to Stockholm, Sweden. Call for Entries is now open.

Good Pitch brings together outstanding documentary filmmakers with foundations, NGOs, campaigners, philanthropists, policymakers, brands and media around leading social and environmental issues – to forge coalitions and campaigns that are good for all these partners, good for films and good for society.

Want to learn more about how to use your film as a tool for social or environmental change? It is also possible to apply for the Impact Producers Lab. The lab is held Jan 13th-16th 2016 in Finland and they’re looking for applicants from the European Union who are established professionals from the worlds of film, campaigning, journalism, politics or marketing and PR. Call for nominations: Free Media Awards 2026

In collaboration with the ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS of Hamburg, the Fritt Ord Foundation has allocated the Free Media Awards – Supporting Independent Journalism in Eastern Europe – annually since 2004 to Eastern European journalists and media that defy every obstacle to tirelessly ensure independent press coverage. Russia’s war against Ukraine and the subsequent wave of disinformation clearly demonstrates the need for independent reporting in the region. Journalist, editorial teams and media companies in and from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine and Hungary who make a contribution to press freedom through their investigative, independent reporting can be nominated for the Free Media Awards.
